ELEVATE Music Project is an initiative created by The MRG Group to help reignite Vancouver’s live music scene and support local emerging artists. The goal of ELEVATE Vancouver is to showcase musicians of all genres and give them a platform to develop and advance their careers. ELEVATE Vancouver recognizes a need for more support to be given to Vancouver’s local music community and strives to help elevate musicians by gaining them access to resources that may not be available to developing artists.

The competition is held at two of Vancouver’s premier music venues The Biltmore and the Vogue Theatre. A four-person panel of local music industry pros act as judges and six bands are then selected from the preliminary round to play in the semi-final, from there the top three acts move on to perform for a grand prize at the Vogue Theatre.

Our first year’s prize packages were curated to include gifts that will help bolster the careers of the participants. Prizes totalling over $50,000.00 with the winning act of ELEVATE Music Project receiving a spot in the Westward Music Festival 2020 lineup, an article in Beatroute Magazine and online media support, a cash prize of $2500, a $2500 gift certificate for Long and McQuade, press photos taken by a professional photographer, a run of merchandise and more!
